What a cool place! I bought my dad a ticket for a trip out for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. We learnt so much and there's so many interactive elements - not just for kids! You wont be short of things to do, we got there at opening and didnt realise the time until it was time to go! The planetarium show and Tetrastar Spaceport is a must.

Online ticketing is recommended as it has a lower price and a show for free. Spent more than 3 hours in it but yet to visit all the exhibition. Lucky that it is an annual pass, will visit again.

It was brilliant, my son loves space, so he loved it, even I thought it was good, it's very interactive and entertaining, the planetarium show was brilliant. The cafe was good food, I liked the levels climbing up the rocket.

Hubby and I had a very enjoyable time. Lots of interesting facts and displays. The planetarium is worth doing which is free although the animated show which you pay for i wouldn't do again. Had my eyes shut the whole time as felt I was on a fun fair rollercoaster 🎢. Cafe very reasonably priced so didn't feel ripped off. Soup and a roll £4 . Good day out

Fabulous and interesting day out. Lots of school parties but we liked to see how much fun the kids were having. We went up the tower, I walked as vertigo makes me not a fan of glass lifts. Very interesting historical displays showing the development of space travel. The Planetarium was spectacular. If you suffer from motion sickness it may be as well to ask which show is less like a theme park ride. Amazing images and animations, show lasted 25 mins and the school’s had their own separate shows. Maybe ask how many schools are expected as we were there on one of their busiest school day’s just before half term. Our ticket was converted to an annual pass so we can go back. You still have to pay for the Planetarium but I believe it is a reduced price, the website will tell you. The cafe sold nice salads and sandwiches and basic hot food so we ate there. Well stocked shop with expensive and cheaper things to buy. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

As a parent of a child who is a wheelchair user, days out can be very challenging and stressful. However, the receptionist who was on at the time of our arrival was AMAZING. He made sure we knew where the lifts were and other staff were happy to explain the lay out and where the accessible toilets were. This just made our trip less stressful, to say the least. Reception also called down to the planetarium so that we didn’t have to wait due to both children having extra needs and my son’s wheelchair, acknowledging that queues and lots of people can be a huge trigger for a SEN child. Ear defenders were also free to hire and they came in so handy. We definitely will be coming again as it was an all round amazing experience for the children and us adults! Thank you guys and continue what you’re doing!

Visiting the National Space Centre on a school trip was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this place was designed to spark curiosity and excitement about space. The towering rocket in the main hall immediately set the scene, making us feel like we were about to embark on our own space mission. One of the best parts of the visit was the interactive exhibits. We got to explore real space technology, try out hands-on activities, and learn about astronauts, planets, and space travel in a way that was both fun and educational. It didn’t feel like just another school trip—it felt like an adventure into the unknown. But the absolute highlight of the day was the 360° planetarium cinema. Sitting inside the huge dome-shaped theatre, we were completely immersed in stunning visuals of space. It felt as if we were floating among the stars, traveling through galaxies, and witnessing cosmic events up close. The experience was so realistic and awe-inspiring that for a few moments, I forgot I was still on Earth! Overall, the National Space Centre was an incredible place to visit. It was educational, engaging, and left us all with a greater appreciation for space exploration. I’d highly recommend it to anyone, whether you’re a space enthusiast or just looking for a unique and exciting experience! 🚀🌍

A lot to see on a single visit, better to upgrade to an annual pass for free and mid week, expect a lot of schools. I could barely move. I went for the night sky show and I didn't know what do expect. It was alright. A lot of reading about planets and space and people in space. I just wish there was more about animals in space, I don't think there was enough about them. Beware of a good amount of steps going in the rocket building. I like how the two you a lot of interesting things like how they use toilet on the space station. And things that they took to space and how they sleep on the station. Definitely a good place even if you are not super into space things.

Went with school a/my school and the lift/elevator was moving slowing then actually stopped I think and then luckily enough moved again I felt like crying because it was stuck for a second or 2 if not a few 😖 based off of that I not go/went here since and I don’t think that I will go here again ever based on/off of that experience.

Went with a few friends on a week day, we anticipated there may be school trips going on and that’s fine. However when we got there, there were at least 4 different school trips ranging from maybe year 3 to year 10 going on, hard to tell how many because there was no organisation or control from the teachers. Children were pretty much using the museum as a playground, screaming, playing hide and seek, running, using the interactive museum displays as pretty much fidget toys for long periods of time, and not reading anything, stopping other families with their kids from actually using the museum as intended. Multiple times we saw school children completely by themselves in corridors, no teachers in sight, we got bumped into multiple times by small children with no adult in sight. It was a free for all, and we spent half our time there waiting to read/use the interactive displays (if we were able to get near it at all), watching out for running small children under our feet, and trying to find the quietest place so we can actually think. It would be great if maybe number of trips on one day were limited? Or most importantly, the children are supervised. Besides the school trips, the museum was fantastic, so much to learn, see, touch. Super easy to spend a few hours in and not get bored. We also saw a show in the planetarium which was all of our favourite part and would definitely go again on a weekend with no school trips.

Was ok, the show was impressive but quite short. Not suitable for kids under 5. Very busy during holidays.

Great place for anyone interested in space. Plenty of interactive displays for children & adults. Noisy due to the layout & very busy at the weekend.

Amazing place to visit. Perfect for all ages. The planetarium show was absolutely brilliant. We were able to watch not long after entry and then off the explore. There is so much to see and all easy to navigate around. Was very busy but a Saturday with an event on we expected as much. Great that you can return again for free. Highly recommend 🚀

Excellent day here. The planetarium was amazing. Just a shame we could only do one of the shows that day.
